Who we are

Until is a Chrome extension and the website at untiltime.day, run by Bearing Deployment Company, Inc., 2261 Market Street STE 83655, San Francisco, CA 94114. In this policy, “we” means Bearing Deployment Company, Inc..

What we collect, and why

• Your Google name, email address and photo. To sign you in, show who's signed in, and email you if you ask for updates.
• Your country. To understand where Until is used. It's filled in from your time zone, and you can change it.
• How you heard about Until. To learn which ways of finding Until work.
• Your choice about product updates, with when and where you made it. So we only email people who agreed, and can show that they did.
• Your countdowns: names, dates, times, units, their order, and your settings. To show them on every new tab and keep them in sync between your computers.
• Share links. To show a shared countdown to anyone with its link, until you stop sharing.
• Google Calendar access and the ID of your Until calendar, only if you connect Calendar. To add your countdowns to that calendar and keep them in sync.
• Uninstall survey answers. To learn why people leave. They're linked to your account if you were signed in.
• When you last used Until. To know which accounts are active, and to remove data after you uninstall.
• Your computer's time zone. So emails count your countdowns and show dates in your local time.
• Error reports. When something breaks, a report of what went wrong, without countdown names, dates, email addresses or IP addresses. To find and fix bugs.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Where it's stored

On your computer, in Chrome's storage for the extension. On our servers, hosted by Supabase in India (Mumbai). Our admin tools never show countdown names.

We're based in the United States, our database is in India (Mumbai), and the companies below may handle data in other countries, including the US and the EU. Where the law requires it, we use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

Who handles it for us

These companies process data for us, only to run Until:

• Supabase: our database and sign-in. India (Mumbai).
• Cloudflare: our website, our API and our email addresses. It sees IP addresses to protect the service from abuse.
• Resend: sends our emails, from Ireland.
• Sentry: error reports, without names, email addresses, dates or IP addresses.
• Google: sign-in and, if you connect it, Google Calendar, under your own Google account. Emails you send us reach our inbox at Google.

Why we're allowed to use it

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, the law asks us to give a reason for each use:

• To provide Until (your account, countdowns, sync, share links, Calendar, and the email confirming a deletion): because you asked for the service.
• Product update emails: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Your country, how you heard about Until, uninstall answers, error reports and security: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving Until and keeping it safe.
• Records of your email choice: to show we followed the law.

How long we keep it

While you have an account. If you uninstall Until, or a countdown is removed after its day, we keep the data for 30 days in case you come back, then delete it. Delete them now on the uninstall page deletes it at once.

Exporting and deleting

Settings → Export my data downloads everything we hold about you as a file. Settings → Delete account deletes your account, countdowns and share links straight away, and disconnects Google Calendar. The Until calendar stays in your Google account, where you can delete it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

• get a copy of your data (Settings → Export my data);
• correct it (your Google account holds your name and photo; you can change your country in Settings);
• delete it (Settings → Delete account);
• stop product updates (the link in any update, or Settings).

If you're in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to restrict or object to how we use your data, and to complain to your data protection authority.

If you're in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to correct it, and to delete it, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights. We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

For anything you can't do in Settings, email privacy@untiltime.day. We'll reply within 30 days.

Email

We only send product updates if you tick the box when you sign in, or turn on Product updates in Settings. Every update has a one-click unsubscribe link. We also send one email when you delete your account, to confirm it.

Google user data

Until uses Google sign-in for your name, email address and photo. If you connect Google Calendar, Until creates a calendar named Until and adds, updates and deletes events in that calendar only. We don't use Google user data for advertising, and people don't read it unless you ask us to, for security, or to comply with the law.

Until's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is encrypted at rest by our providers. Only the people who run Until can reach it, and our admin tools never show countdown names.

Children

Until isn't meant for children under 13, or the minimum age in your country.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For a big change, we'll tell you in Until first.
